(Friday, Aug 1, 2008) Wild Blueberry Land in Columbia Falls is one stop no blueberry lover should miss.

To begin with, Wild Blueberry Land is housed inside a 25-foot blue dome designed to look like a blueberry. It sells everything from blueberry soda, tea, coffee, candles, ice cream and seeds, to name a few.

"If there's something blueberry, we carry it," says owner Marie Emerson.

For Emerson and husband Dell, the store's purpose is to promote small blueberry growers in Maine.

"We have to save them," she says. "And put out good, wholesome food."

Though Wild Blueberry Land offers a wide array of products, it’s known for its baked goods. Last April, Yankee Magazine listed the store's blueberry pie as the best in New England.
